Senior Full Stack Engineer
Glasgow - 5 days on-site
Inside IR35 | Competitive Day Rate
Contract | Full-Time
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing development team based on-site in Glasgow (5 days per week). You'll play a key role in designing and delivering secure, scalable and efficient software solutions across both front-end and back-end systems using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Batch) and Angular or ReactJS.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to contribute across the full SDLC, while also bringing your problem-solving mindset and architectural thinking to the table.
What You'll Be Doing
* Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality back-end and front-end solutions
* Working with Java Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Angular/ReactJS
* Creating clean, secure production-ready code and reusable libraries
* Contributing to architectural decisions and ensuring design consistency
* Performing complex data analysis and visualisation to drive application improvements
* Supporting APIs (particularly Open API) and integrating diverse systems
* Driving coding standards, best practices, and continuous improvement
* Participating in internal engineering communities and fostering a positive team culture
What We're Looking For
* Strong experience in Java, including Multithreading and Concurrency
* Solid front-end experience using Angular or ReactJS
* Expertise with RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and writing optimized SQL queries
* Hands-on experience with JUnit, CI/CD tools, and SDLC best practices
* Familiarity with Unix/Windows, scripting, and infrastructure basics
* Strong understanding of ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA)
* Working knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
* Great communication skills and a passion for solving complex problems

* Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
* A background in high-availability systems or financial services
* 450.00/day
