This position is initially for a fixed term period of 12 months.
*Salary: *£27,500.00 - £28,500.00 per annum (dependent on level of qualification)
*Sleep Rate:* £55.00 per sleep
*Overtime Rate: *£15.00 per hour

We are Next Stage Youth Development, a supported accommodation provider with six semi-independent living provisions based across Northwest. We are dedicated to supporting and empowering young people between the ages of 16 and 18 years old to be successful in making the transition to independence. *The Role:*
As a Team Leader you are pivotal to the success of our business and an essential part of a young person’s life by leading a team of Support Workers who deliver support that is focused on all aspects of their health, wellbeing, independence, and development. You will be responsible for:
* Working in accordance with our company values of *Everyone Matters*, *Inspire*, *Teamwork*, *Resilience*, and *Excellence & Quality*.
* Managing a semi-independent living provision with a team of Youth Support Workers.
* Building and maintaining appropriate positive relationships with our young people; colleagues; and professionals/outside agencies.
* Ensuring our young people feel heard and are able to communicate their individual wants, needs and wishes.
* Supporting the management of conflict and challenging behaviour appropriately with the aim of producing positive outcomes.
* Providing a safe and positive living environment for our young people.
* Completing internal audits.
* Compiling rotas.
* Managing budgets.
* Facilitating Team Meetings.
* Supervising your team members and completing their annual appraisals.
* Monitoring your team member’s performance, sickness, and training needs.
* Engaging in recruitment and selection.
* Supporting the senior management team with assessments for new business.
* Committing to developing your professional knowledge and skillset.
* Working shifts as part of a rolling rota (including long shifts, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays).
This role requires a person who has prior experience in supported living services; a strong knowledge of the care sector, relevant legislation, and guidance; and robust leadership skills to support both the employees and the young people we support in order to drive the ongoing development of the service. We also pride ourselves on facilitating a bespoke mandatory management training programme that encourages career progression within our organisation and the profession.
Although this is not essential, it is preferred that you hold a full and valid UK Driving License and be willing to add business insurance to their car insurance policy due to the peripatetic nature of the role.
A relevant qualification relating to Children and Young People is essential and a qualification relating to leadership and management preferable.
