A Motherwell based company are looking to add a part time Cleaner to their team. Cleaning hours are 17.5 hours per week comprised of 3.5-hour shifts between 4:30pm and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday and will be supported by the cleaning team. Hourly rate for the role is £12.60.
The role involves taking care of our facilities and carrying out regular and scheduled cleaning activities
throughout our facility, including our laboratory. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. Cleaning will be performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely and efficient performance. You will receive the required training and development for this role and through your learning and knowledge, quickly understand the value and importance of this role.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas including but not limited to, emptying of bins, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning; Perform, adhere to, and document scheduled cleaning activities and routine inspections; Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects at the requested by Site Manager; Notify line manager of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs; Ensure sufficient stock by communicating orders with the procurement team; Maintain and keep organised all cleaner’s cupboards; Co-operate with the rest of the staff during routine cleaning practices; Securing and locking the building at the end of each working day; Health and Safety; Ensure compliance of COSHH documentation in support of correct handling and storage; Ensure compliance of COSHH documentation in support of disposal of waste; Adhere to all health and safety policies in the workplace; Contribute to the preparation of COSHH and identify risk assessments and raising to the Health & Safety.
Essential criteria: Proven working experience as a Cleaner is essential; Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery; Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies; Enthusiasm to do a job well and take pride in your work; Someone who is self-motivated, proactive, and wanting to grow and develop their career with us; Must have a good understanding of spoken and written English; Able to prioritise day to day work with limited supervision; Highly organised, be productive with the ability to deliver your work on time and to a high standard. Friendly with a helpful attitude, always looking to identify areas where the team can support and add
Desirable criteria: Familiarity with Material Safety data Sheets.
