Job title: Health & Safety Apprentice Role Type: Full time 3-year Apprenticeship Location & Hours: Southend, on site, 37.5 hours per week As a Health & Safety Apprentice at Honeywell, in Southend, you will be responsible for keeping us safe and secure at work, by meeting both legal and company Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, this includes exciting responsibilities such as supporting Health, Safety inspections, recycling programs and environmental & sustainability projects/initiatives and working alongside the Health & Safety Manager. This role is part of our Early Careers Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for three years, starting from August 2025. Key responsibilities: We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join us, people who are looking for an exciting career rather than just a job. Honeywell will provide you with the courses to gain a Safety, Health and Environment Technician (level 3) apprentice qualification alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits. Our education provider is RHG Limited, so this apprenticeship is a mixture of online courses and working with us on site. You will have a buddy assigned to you and work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following: · Assisting in carrying our risk assessments, safety audits / inspections and inductions · Supporting with compliance and implementation of safety procedures · Assisting with actions management and incident investigations as well as root cause analysis · Organise meetings and taking minutes during Sr HSE Meetings and HSE Committees · Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of HSE metrics and incidents trends analysis to identify areas for improvement · Help developing safety awareness campaigns - safety talks, safety messages, posters etc. Key skills and qualifications: · Experience working in MS Office, (word, Excel, PowerPoint), (this could be from your personal life, a workplace or your studies) · A passion for pursuing a career in Health and Safety · A minimum of GCSE a C / level 4 grade in ICT or experience working with data in the workplace · Can commute with ease to the Southend office · Business level English written and spoken language skills, with the confidence to present face to face to Senior Management · Proven experience having worked in a team towards a common goal Our offer: · Career Growth: Clear pathways for advancement, regular feedback, and mentorship opportunities. · Skill Development: Access to training and certifications. · Work-Life Balance: Flexible working arrangements and support for combining work with education. · Tech and Innovation: Access to modern tools, technologies, and innovative work environments. · Company Culture: Sense of community, team-building activities, and social events.
