Performance Objectives
* Preparing and delivering proposals to support sales efforts and drive through to completion
* To ensure that proposals are in line with corporate branding and agreed styles
* Interacting with customers and suppliers to understand requirements and specifications
* Collaborating with Commercial, Tooling, Engineering and quality to formulate bid processes for customer requests
* Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines
* Gathering and analysing technical and financial data for future bids and develop, review and improve processes, on an ongoing basis, to create quality proposal documents
* Provide and meet departmental KPI's
Person Specification
* A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English, Maths & Physics;
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering - Equivalent or above
* Advanced level CAM
* Experience of tool design and manufacture in various materials.
* CAD 2D/3D software for drafting & modelling.
* Experience with proposal development and sales support.
* Good understanding of the Design for Manufacture philosophy to enable right first-time customer bids.
* Ability/experience of using online customer portals to manage tenders
* Understanding of Hard Metal forming techniques.
* Report writing & presentation skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills
* PC literate with intermediate skills in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Desirable
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience Aircraft Industry
* Experience of Hot forming, SPF, Presswork
* MS Project & Visio & project management
