An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a warm and welcoming one-form entry primary school, known for its strong community spirit and commitment to providing high-quality early years education.
This role is to cover a maternity leave beginning in September 2025, initially for one term, with a high likelihood of extending into the Spring Term. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher with a secure understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), who can offer a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where all children feel safe, valued, and inspired to thrive.

What the Role Involves:
Leading a Reception class of approximately 30 pupils with the support of a classroom assistant
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
Supporting each child's personal, social, and academic development
Working closely with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils
Contributing to the wider school community and upholding its values
What We're Looking For:
A fully qualified teacher with QTS and ideally recent experience teaching in Reception or EYFS
Someone who is enthusiastic, nurturing, and child-centred in their approach
A confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills
A team player who can work collaboratively and bring energy and creativity to the role
Flexibility, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude
