A rare opportunity to join Extra UK in an exciting and newly formed role.Extra UK is a long-established and respected distributor of the world’s leading brands of predominantly cycling parts and accessories, as well as sports nutrition.Extra UK exclusively distributes the Mondelez brand CLIF (energy bars and bloks) to the specialist retail sector, including independent retailers within fitness, gym, run, cycling, health food, leisure and other high-footfall impulse environments.
The CLIF Brand Sales Representative is responsible for driving distribution, visibility, and rate of sale for the CLIF portfolio across targeted UK retail channels. The role focuses on expanding distribution, executing brand-led sales plans, and ensuring CLIF products are positioned as incremental, mission‑driven choices within the category, particularly within impulse, convenience, fitness, and on‑the‑go environments. This role is critical in supporting new product launches, delivering launch excellence, and building strong relationships with retailers to maximise long‑term brand growth.
Key Accountabilities
* Drive new distribution wins across targeted customers, including independent retail, fitness, gym, run, cycling, health food, leisure, and high footfall impulse environments
* Support CLIF’s existing retail and sub-distribution base
* Deliver agreed distribution targets and ensure consistent ranging across priority SKUs
* Support national account plans through effective field execution and local activation
* Sales from both van-based and warehouse stock, and management of this stock.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
* Build strong relationships with store managers, buyers, and key decision-makers
* Present a clear and compelling CLIF selling story, aligned with the brand and category growth
* Act as a trusted brand ambassador, reinforcing CLIF's credentials, values, and USPs
New Product Launch & Activation
* Execute launch plans for new products, ensuring fast distribution and strong in‑store presence
* Support trial-driving activity through sampling, launch promotions, and tactical activation
* Clearly communicate how new formats are incremental and additive to the category rather than substitutive
Merchandising & In‑Store Excellence
* Ensure excellent on‑shelf availability, visibility, and placement
* Drive agreed placement strategies, including counter‑top displays, secondary sitings, and impulse zones
* Monitor and improve the rate of sales through effective execution at the store level
* Track and report on distribution gains, promotions, and activation performance
* Provide regular feedback from the field, including competitor activity, customer insights, and ranging opportunities
* Use data and insight to prioritise opportunities and support continuous improvement
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
* Work closely with internal sales, marketing, and brand teams to align execution with strategy
* Support the wider sales team focus by sharing best practices and field insights
* Represent the brand professionally at trade shows, customer meetings, and internal sessions
Requirements
This is a field-based role with nationwide coverage of the UK as part of our broader sales team, reporting to our Head of Sales, working in conjunction with the CLIF brand manager. The role will require regular visits to our HQ near Northampton, in part for stock management, so would best suit someone based in the Midlands.

* Proven field sales or brand sales experience, ideally within FMCG, convenience, impulse, or sports nutrition
* Strong track record of delivering distribution growth and in‑store execution
* Confident communicator with strong influencing and relationship‑building skills
* Commercially aware with the ability to understand customer needs and shopper behaviour
* Highly organised, self‑motivated, and results‑driven
* Comfortable working independently
