Role Overview The Display Prep Technician is responsible for supporting the efficient day to day operation of the warehouse, ensuring equipment is handled safely, accurately, and in accordance with company procedures. This role will be based at the Creative Technology Warehouse in Crawley. This role plays a vital part in maintaining operational readiness by supporting goods movement, equipment checks, warehouse upkeep, and cross departmental assistance. The position requires a proactive, safety conscious individual who can work effectively within a fast paced technical rental environment. Key Responsibilities Goods Handling & Equipment Processing Safely load and unload vehicles in accordance with manual handling guidelines and company procedures. Check equipment in and out of the warehouse, ensuring accurate recording within inventory systems. Inspect returned equipment for visible damage and report issues to the relevant department. Assist in preparing equipment for dispatch, ensuring items are correctly packed, labelled, and secured. Prepare and configure equipment for projects across the Display function, ensuring readiness and operational reliability. Equipment & Facility Maintenance Carry out routine maintenance and basic checks on warehouse equipment (e.g. Forklifts and other access equipment). Ensure warehouse tools and handling equipment are maintained in safe working condition. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse, including: Emptying bins, Cleaning warehouse floors, Processing recycling and waste in line with company environmental procedures and report facility maintenance issues promptly to management. Adhere to PAT requirements, ensuring all equipment is tested and compliant with company procedures. Operational Support Provide cover within the dispatch area when required. Support other departments across the business during peak periods or demands. Assist with stock movement and internal logistics between departments and buildings. Participate in stock checks and inventory audits when required. Provide out of hours cover as part of the CT call out rota system. Health, Safety & Compliance Follow safe systems of work and warehouse operating procedures at all times. Use appropriate PPE and adhere to company health and safety standards. Ensure compliance with company policies and accreditations including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO20121 standards. Contribute to a safe, organised, and efficient working environment. Essential Previous warehouse or manual handling experience. Good level of physical fitness. Strong attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Flexible approach to working hours when required. Desirable Forklift licence (counterbalance/reach). Experience within a rental, logistics, or technical warehouse environment.
