Job Description
Our Harworth site has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Controller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Salary: £32,768.90 per annum.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 06:00 to 18:00
As the Operations Controller, you will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring all schedules for inbound receipts and outbound loads are managed efficiently.
Responsibilities of the Operations Controller
1. Manage outbound schedules to ensure collection and delivery times are met.
2. Issue instructions to staff to maintain smooth inbound and outbound operations.
3. Control paperwork for outbound vehicles, ensuring 100% accuracy.
4. Act as the initial point of contact for all drivers arriving on site.
5. Communicate issues to Shift Managers promptly to minimize disruptions.
6. Participate actively in the operations team, offering suggestions for problem-solving and efficiency improvements.
7. Maintain good communication with transport providers to avoid late collections and delivery failures.
8. Produce detailed handovers to the next shift, highlighting potential issues and current status.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in a similar fast-paced role.
2. Ability to prioritize work based on schedules and resources.
3. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook with high attention to detail.
4. Team player capable of working independently.
5. Knowledge of on-site systems, including Autostore and RF equipment.
6. Strong communication skills with a professional attitude towards customers and third-party hauliers.
7. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
