Senior Air Quality Consultant - Chester
£40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading environmental consultancy in their search for a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join their growing team in Chester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in delivering innovative projects, supporting sustainable development, and making a positive impact on local communities.

The Role
* Lead air quality assessments across sectors such as waste management, dust management and quarries.
* Analyse data, prepare emissions inventories, and undertake dispersion modelling using industry-standard tools.
* Provide clear, strategic advice to clients on policy, legislation, and best practice.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop practical, sustainable solutions.
* Mentor and guide junior consultants, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
* Prepare high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
* Stay up to date with evolving regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
Essential
* Degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
* 5-7 Years experience as an Air Quality Consultant, Currently operating as a Senior Air Quality Consultant.
* Proficiency with AA Air Quality software or similar modelling tools.
* Solid knowledge of UK air quality regulations and guidance.
* Strong project management skills and experience delivering work to time and budget.
* Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Driver's License
Desirable
* Membership of IAQM, CIWEM, or similar professional body.
* Postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) in Air Quality, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
* Business development or client relationship management experience.
* Familiarity with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects.
