A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Fire Safety Advisor to support the Safety and Compliance Specialist – Fire and the wider Building Safety Compliance team. You’ll help manage fire risk assessment programmes, oversee cyclical inspections and remedial works, and ensure compliance data is accurate and centrally maintained.
Key duties of the Fire Safety Advisor role include but are not limited to:
* Support the delivery of fire risk assessments and fire door inspection programmes
* Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and local fire authorities on fire safety matters
* Act as a fire safety subject matter expert, providing guidance and producing technical documentation
* Assist in the development and monitoring of fire safety programmes, policies, and procedures
* Participate in audits, quality assurance checks, and incident investigations to support continuous improvement
The successful Fire Safety Officer will hold:
* Proven experience leading fire safety teams within the housing or property sector.
* In-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation, building regulations, and compliance standards.
* Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Fire Safety
* Membership of a relevant professional body (IFE, IFSM, or equivalent)
* Experience managing budgets, contracts, and performance within compliance programmes.
