About Us
The RAC is the UK's leading breakdown service provider, powered by a dedicated team of 4,000 'orange heroes'. Our unprecedented growth means we have an exciting opportunity for skilled, field-based Roadside Mechanics to join our Roadside Patrol team.
Your Role as a Roadside Mechanic
As a Roadside Mechanic, you will need:
* A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* Demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
* A customer-focused approach.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Flexibility to work at relatively short notice.
* Willingness to travel and stay overnight if necessary.
Working Conditions
You’ll work the equivalent of 40 hours per week without a set roster. Your schedule will be provided seven days in advance, with core hours sent three days prior. Shifts will fall between 0600 and 0200, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays.
