Marine Recreational Fisheries Field Surveyor

Join to apply for the Marine Recreational Fisheries Field Surveyor role at Angling Trust.

Position: Field Surveyor (7 contracts available across England and Wales)

Salary: £100-120 per day (July 2023 - June 2024), approximately £21,000 pro rata.

Location: Various regions in England and Wales.

Project: Delivering the Catchwise research project, funded by Defra, in collaboration with Substance and Cefas.


Responsibilities

* Conduct face-to-face, site-based surveys across designated regions.
* Enter survey data via an online app managed by Substance.
* Liaise with local angling communities, project coordinators, and volunteers.
* Attend training sessions and report activities.


Skills Required

* Experience in scientific or social science surveying preferred.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Additional Details

* 45 survey days per quarter (20 for East Midlands).
* Part-time hours (4 hours/day plus travel).
* Expressions of interest welcomed across all regions.
