Reporting to the Head of Site Team, the Site Engineer is responsible for the installation of a wide range of audio equipment on client sites and the service of existing installed equipment and assisting the integration department providing administrative support.

Your day will look like this:
1. Reviewing the equipment installation requirements with the Project Manager, carrying out installations to the specifications and Solotech’s quality standards.
2. Liaising with customers to ensure needs are met in a timely fashion, whilst ensuring end users of systems and equipment are correctly trained.
3. Accountable for ongoing service and maintenance of installations, ensuring detailed and accurate service records are maintained.
4. Responsible for safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools and equipment
5. Assisting with stock management using the Company asset-tracking software
6. Handle all communication in accordance with Solotech’s core standards of behaviour
7. Responsible for diagnosis and repair of professional audio, lighting and video systems and equipment to component level following implemented procedures, both on and off site
8. Responsible for safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools and equipment
Level of education:
9. Hold a diploma in the audiovisual field or 1 to 3 years equivalent experience
Essential requirements:
10. Full, Clean UK Driving Licence
11. Right to work and remain in the UK
Requested skills:
12. Technical experience of professional audio equipment / audio systems (including setting up, installing, operating and servicing), particularly Soundweb & DME (Q-Sys would also be beneficial)
13. Knowledge of lighting or video would be beneficial
14. Aptitude for working with electronics
15. Good communication skills and customer service skills including telephone manner.
16. Willingness and ability to learn quickly
17. Competent with the use of computers and ability to use databases.
18. Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognising when to ask questions.
19. Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is pivotal to the smooth running of the office and dealing with customers.
