Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth by developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from enquiry through to delivery. You will act as a strategic liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment with SBRs high standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in line with company strategy.
Manage and respond to incoming leads and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with internal departments (Quality, Production, Admin) to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor contract compliance and proactively resolve any client issues or concerns.
Conduct regular client visits and encourage site visits to SBR.
Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM and SAP ERP systems.
Support the preparation of cost estimates, bids, and proposals.
General Responsibilities
Manage customer accounts holistically, ensuring cross-departmental alignment.
Prepare and issue quotes and sales orders.
Represent SBR at trade shows and exhibitions.
Act as a brand ambassador, promoting SBRs values and strategic direction.
Support colleagues during periods of absence (e.g. holidays, illness).
Submit expenses in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
Strong business acumen with a proactive and conscientious approach.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
Self-motivated, ambitious, and able to work independently.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Fluent in English with solid numeracy skills.
Desirable
Experience in the Aerospace or Defence sectors.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100D, or similar quality management systems.
Experience with Salesforce and SAP .
