Location: Fareham, Hampshire (On-site, 5 days per week)
Salary: up to £70k DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Our Fareham based client is an expanding technology business operating in the payments and fintech infrastructure space. They are seeking a UI/UX Design Engineer to join a highly technical, developer-heavy team building a large-scale payment orchestration platform.
The products support complex user journeys and enterprise-level workflows. This role has been created to introduce stronger structure, consistency and ownership across UI and UX as the platform continues to grow.
This is a fully on-site, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys close collaboration, quick decision?making and being embedded with engineers and developers.
The Role
* Own and improve the UI and UX across customer-facing applications and internal tools
* Design and maintain design systems and component libraries
* Ensure consistency and usability across new and existing features
* Work closely with engineers to define and implement production?ready interfaces
* Balance design thinking with practical delivery
Requirements
* Strong UI/UX and/or front-end working experience
* Experience building or contributing towards design systems/ component libraries
* Significant experience with Figma, Sketch or similar design tools
* Strong communication skills xsngvjr and ability to engage well in a team working environment
Desirable Skills
* Background working on large, complex SaaS or enterprise products
* Exposure to Golang and/or PHP
* Experience with TypeScript or Lit Elements
