About the Team/Service
The Department of Radiation Therapy, Faculty of Health Professional Programmes based in Wellington teaches Radiation Therapy at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The Bachelor of Radiation Therapy qualification is the key entry qualification for the radiation therapy profession in New Zealand.

The role – Te mahi
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Professional Practice Fellow/Senior Professional Practice Fellow (Pukenga/Pukenga Matua/Kairuruku Ritenga Utua/Tauira Matamua Ritenga Ngaio) with current experience in clinical radiation therapy.
We are open to making this appointment at any level from Professional Practice Fellow/Senior Professional Practice Fellow (teaching only) to Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (teaching, research and programme development) level. Appointment to the position will be dependent on academic achievement, skills, and experience.
This role will include the preparation, modification, and delivery of teaching material. Research is not a requirement for a Professional Practice Fellow role; however, collaboration in research with other members of the department would be supported. For a Lecturer role, research activity is required, including a commitment to developing an active research profile.
Key tasks of the role include
* Preparing and modifying teaching material.
* Providing teaching and learning activities to support delivery of the radiation therapy curriculum.
* Contributing to the refinement of the radiation therapy curriculum.
* Contributing to the preparation and marking of assessment for the Bachelor of Radiation Therapy.
Skills and experience – Nga pukenga me nga wheako
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
* A Radiation Therapy qualification and clinical experience in Radiation Therapy.
* A current Radiation Therapy practising certificate.
* Experience in teaching/supervising radiation therapy students in clinical placement.
* A commitment to developing an active research profile (Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions only).
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Understanding and commitment to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi and the University's Maori Strategic Framework.
* Experience or interest in radiation technology/physics is valuable but not essential.

This is a permanent, part-time position ranging from 0.2 FTE to 1.0 FTE. The hours of work are negotiable with the successful candidate to provide flexibility. For overseas candidates, a minimum of 0.8 FTE is essential for immigration purposes.
This role is based in Wellington. The appointment levels for this position are as follows:
* Professional Practice Fellow - $75,727 to $102,900
* Senior Professional Practice Fellow - $105,665 to $137,444
* Lecturer - $97,377 to $114,943
* Senior Lecturer - $120,949 to $148,024
