We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) to join our Bladder, Bowel and Pelvic Health (BBPH) Team.
The HCSW is part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients. Support and supervision are provided by a Registered Professional. The HCSW carries out a range of patient care tasks and duties to enable the team to provide an effective and efficient service within community and hospital settings. They will deliver care to patients in clinics, in their homes, or in nursing care homes.
This is a full-time role, covering 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Role
The purpose of the department is to provide a high-quality, safe, and supportive environment for all patients. The post-holder will work with the bladder, bowel, and pelvic health team in various roles, including:
* Demonstrating care and compassion to patients, carers, and relatives to ensure high-quality, person-centered patient care at all times.
* Carrying out a range of assigned patient care tasks as directed by a Registered Professional to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.
* Reporting observed changes in patients’ physical or psychological needs to the Registered Professional.
* Performing tests and reporting results to Registered Professionals, e.g., urinalysis, patient observations, and similar activities.
* Performing patient care tasks and reporting any issues to the Registered Professional.
* Dealing with questions and enquiries from patients, carers, and relatives regarding their condition, suggestions, or complaints, and referring these to a Registered Professional when appropriate.
* Assisting with the safe transfer of all patients.
* Communicating and liaising with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care.
* Assisting patients with activities of daily living.
