Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re looking for experienced Software Engineers with a strong background in AUTOSAR-based automotive systems to join our team focused on cutting-edge powertrain control software. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on engineering role that blends embedded development with vehicle-level testing in a hybrid work environment.
Location: Oxford (Hybrid)
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Collaborate under a team lead to develop, test, and integrate AUTOSAR-compliant embedded software.
* Perform MIL/SIL/HIL testing, including hands-on work with HIL rigs and occasional vehicle-level validation.
* Support model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
* Work with powertrain control systems, including motors, inverters, and rotating machinery.
* Apply industry standards such as ISO 26262 in software verification and safety compliance.
* Diagnose issues through in-person rig access and testing activities.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including calibration, systems, and test engineers.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
* Solid years of experience in embedded automotive software engineering.
* Proven skills in AUTOSAR architecture (Vector MicroSAR preferred).
* Practical knowledge of model-based design tools.
* Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
* Experience with Mercedes vehicle platforms is a plus.
* Strong “doer” mindset—able to take ownership of tasks and deliver under time constraints.
* Willing and able to work onsite regularly for hands-on testing and integration.
