The Role

The Fragrance Shop is looking for a passionate, ambitious and experienced Store Manager to join our team. The Store Manager is responsible for total store results, taking ownership of performance in relation to profitability and overall customer satisfaction. You will focus on maintaining outstanding customer service, coach and inspire a team of consultants and an Assistant Manager who will act as your deputy, and you will maintain operational procedures for a smooth day-to-day running.


What Youll Be Doing

* Lead and motivate the store team to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
* Analyse and interpret data to facilitate planning and future forecasting for sales.
* Review store performance and implement action plans, liaising with Area Manager or Regional Director where appropriate.
* Develop plans and local initiatives to improve the stores performance and contribution to the overall company results.
* Actively promote the company and the store in the local shopping centre.
* Lead by example in ensuring compliance with all Company procedures.
* Be accountable for the stock inventory and establish efficient operating standards to ensure that all operating costs are kept within budget and that shrinkage is kept to a minimum.
* Prepare and issue store rotas at least 4 weeks in advance, keeping within budget.
* Be accountable for implementing legislation regarding security and Health and Safety.
* Maintain standards of discipline, rules and regulations regarding recruitment, training, performance reviews, grievances and disciplinary procedures.
* Take a lead role in resolving complex customer queries.
* Manage a team of consultants by training, coaching, delegating and empowering them to provide excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.
* Demonstrate ability and eagerness to learn by studying relevant training materials as well as attending any required training sessions.
* Share expertise within the team and ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and demonstrated.
* Ensure your Assistant Store Manager is fully trained and competent, demonstrating accountability when managing the store in your absence.
* Ensure all products are displayed to their best advantage in line with Company and Brand Visual Merchandising guidelines, correctly coded, priced, and that POS is used correctly.
* Maintain stock levels and commerciality in line with company procedures.
* Communicate effectively with Area Manager and Head Office and cascade information to the store, acting as a link in the communication chain.
* Carry out any reasonable tasks as requested by Area Manager or Regional Director.
* All the above to be carried out in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.


What Youll Bring

* A minimum of 2+ years experience in a store management role.
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent business-related qualification.
* Ability to work with store KPIs and towards store targets.
* Visual merchandising and commercial awareness to impact business knowledge.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
* We are seeking a strong communicator who is customer service focused with a can-do attitude. Full training will be provided.
