Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Hazardous Area Electrician based in stourport on severn covering nationwide. The Hazardous Area Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing of electrical systems and equipment in areas classified as potentially explosive or hazardous. The role includes ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, and collaborating with a team to complete projects to a high standard and on time.
Qualifications
* Experience and knowledge in hazardous area installations, explosion protection techniques, and ATEX/IECE regulations desirable but not essential.
* Competence in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
* Familiarity with testing and inspection procedures for environments.
* Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety standards.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a team and handle physically demanding tasks in various environments.
* Relevant certifications such as COMPEX desirable however training in this field can be provided for the right candidate.
* Relative Level 3 electrical qualification .
* An NVQ Level 3 (JIB Gold card) is desirable.
* or equivalent in test and inspection.
* Previous experience in industrial, oil and gas, or chemical environments is advantageous.
* Strong communication and organizational skills are beneficial.
* Full UK Drivers licence.
* Ability to work away when required.
