We are recruiting for a PA to support a disabled single Mum to live independently. She enjoys gaming, knitting, going for walks in her wheelchair, going to concerts and spending time with her teenager.
She has severe CFS/ME which impacts her ability to get around and look after herself. Her condition varies day to day so the applicant will have to be flexible and sensitive to her changing needs. On bad days she will be in a lot of pain, have limited ability to move or communicate, and be very sensitive to noise and light.
You will be helping our client to get the most out of life by supporting her in her everyday routine, providing some personal care, and supporting her to leave the house. She is looking for someone friendly, reliable and organised, with a good sense of humour and an ability to take things as they come.
She is committed to creating a supportive workplace that is inclusive of BME and LGBT+ communities, so it is important that you also share this commitment.
As this role involves some personal care, the applicant should be either female or non-binary.
