***HGV CLASS 1 SHUNTER WANTED***
Here at The Best Connection we are looking for an experienced Class 1 shunter driver to join our client based in Hedge End. This role is ongoing during the peak period.
Salary - £19.08 per hour
Location - Hedge End
Start Time - 00:00am-08:00am
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
* Safely shunting Class 1 vehicles and trailers around the depot yard
* Working closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth trailer movements
* Vehicle checks before and after every shift
* Safely connect and disconnect cabs and trailers
* Ensure trailers are parked and positioned safely
* Report any defects or damage immediately to the transport office
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
* Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
* Valid CPC & Digi card
* Class 1 experience
* Previous yard shunting experience
* Ability to manoeuvre large vehicles safely in confined spaces
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Work 5 out of 7 nights a week
* Happy to work nights
* On-site parking
* Ongoing work
