Our client, a prominent entity in the construction sector, is currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer on a contract basis for a significant structural steel project at London Bridge.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out setting out for structural steel installation, including gridlines, levels, and interface points.
Review and interpret technical drawings, steelwork fabrication drawings, and models (2D/3D).
Coordinate with site management, steel erectors, welders, and subcontractors to ensure work is delivered to specification.
Manage quality checks, inspections, and compliance against design and project requirements.
Maintain accurate site records, as-built information, and engineering documentation.
Liaise with the project engineer and main contractor to resolve design or site queries.
Ensure all works are executed in line with health & safety standards and company policies.
Provide engineering support during lifts, alignment, bolting, welding, and other steel erection activities.
Monitor progress and highlight any issues affecting programme or quality.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer, specifically within structural steelwork.
Must hold a valid Skilled CSCS Card.
Strong working knowledge of total stations, GPS equipment, and laser levels.
Ability to read and interpret structural and fabrication drawings with precision.
Experience working on major construction sites, ideally in central London.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload across long shifts.
Right to work in the UK.

Length: 6 months
Location: London Bridge
Hours: 10 hours per day
Days: Monday to Friday
