Responsibilities
* Defining site standards, processes, and technical requirements for electrical engineering related to equipment, systems, and facilities.
* Conducting reviews and assessments of design proposals to ensure compliance with appropriate processes and standards.
* Producing technical documentation and reports that support our engineering goals.
* Engaging in problem-solving and addressing engineering issues related to your expertise.
* Serving as the point of contact for High Voltage issues concerning site electrical systems.
* Leading improvements in policy, equipment, and capabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as an electrical engineer with expertise in 11kV systems.
* Experience in an industrial engineering environment, familiar with commercial standards.
* A degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (e.g., HND with relevant experience).
* Registration with an engineering professional institute and the ability to achieve chartered status.
* Demonstrated leadership experience within an engineering environment.
* Proven engineering experience in a technical role with transferable skills, such as assurance.
* Experience in a Nuclear Environment or similar highly regulated business is desirable.

Location: Barrow-in-Furness / Hybrid (3 days on-site)
Salary: £45,628 - £61,500 (commensurate with skills and experience)
About the Site Specialist Engineering (SSE) Team
Join a dynamic team that supports a wide range of electrical disciplines. You’ll have opportunities to learn and develop in LV, HV, C&I, and Communications. Each day brings new challenges, allowing you to problem-solve and drive innovative solutions. As our Barrow site infrastructure expands, you’ll play a vital role in developing new facilities and enhancing existing systems.
We also offer relocation support packages for all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
