Your new role
As Financial Controller, you will lead a high-performing finance team and oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, andpliance. You’ll play a key role in strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making, while ensuring robust financial controls and continuous improvement across the finance and grants functions.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading and mentoring a team of four finance professionals
2. Managing the year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation
3. Delivering timely and insightful management reporting
4. Overseeing payroll, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting
5. Driving improvements in financial systems, controls, and procedures
6. Managing the grants programme and supporting impact reporting
7. Deputising for the Director of Finance & Corporate Services when required
What you'll need to succeed
8. CCAB qualified accountant with significant experience in a senior finance role
9. Strong technical knowledge of financial and management accounting
10. Proven leadership and team management skills
11. Excellentmunication, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities
12. Experience in the public or not-for-profit sector is desirable but not essential
