Overview
Engineering Project Lead (Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, GB, NG1 1DQ) – role at TieTalent.
As an Engineering Project Lead you will be responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects from inception to completion, coordinating with various departments, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project goals are achieved.
* Technical Oversight: Make technical decisions and provide solutions to complex engineering problems.
* Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and production, to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
* Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
* Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, project plans, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
* Innovation: Stay updated with the latest engineering techniques and technologies, recommending improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.). (Desired but not critical)
* Experience: More than 5 years of experience in engineering project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
* Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools. Hands-on experience delivering projects and managing contractors.
* Certifications: PMP or similar certifications are often preferred. (Desired but not critical)
