De-escalation: Implementing Positive Behaviour Management strategies to support students during periods of emotional dysregulation.
EHCP Implementation: Working closely with the SENCO to track progress against Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
ADHD & Autism Support: Utilizing specialist strategies to engage learners with Neurodiverse profiles, including ADHD and ASC.
Nurture-Based Learning: Delivering interventions that focus on social skills, self-esteem, and emotional resilience.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience as an SEN TA, Youth Worker, Residential Support Worker, or Mental Health Assistant.
Skills: Strong understanding of Safeguarding procedures and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Training: Training in Team Teach, PRICE, or MAPA is highly desirable (but not essential, as training can be provided).
Mindset: A non-judgmental, patient, and resilient "can-do" attitude.
Why Join This Blackpool Provision?
Temp-to-Perm: A clear pathway to a permanent contract with the school.
Specialist Training: Access to ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development) in SEMH and trauma-informed practice.
Local Impact: Make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable young people in the Blackpool community.
