Social Worker––Children with Disabilities Team
Grade: 3C to 4A (£39,152 to £46,142) level 2 and 3 Social workers, dependent on experience
Contract type: Permanent
We are on our way to achieving our goal to provide outstanding support and care to children, families, carers and practitioners across Salford. We have a vacancy for an experienced Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. Experience within the field of children with disabilities is preferable but not essential. If you’re passionate about the role and eager to learn, we would like to invest in you.
You will support children and families through many levels of intervention: assessment, CIN, CP, CLA, and court proceedings. You will work in partnership with families and other professionals to deliver high‑quality services.
Responsibilities:
* Build trusted relationships while keeping people’s wishes, feelings and beliefs central to decision‑making.
* Support children and families to progress plans.
* Connect people to wider networks of opportunity and support.
* Keep in touch with children, young people and families and take a genuine interest in how they are doing and what matters most to them.
* Be ambitious, curious and eager to learn and reflect.
