Administrator - Logistics (Maternity Cover)
Location: Huthwaite
Contract: Fixed-Term 12 months (Maternity Cover)
Hours - 37.5 per week 9-5:30pm core hours (with some flexibility)
Pay Rate - £16.41 per hour
The Role
We are seeking an Administrator to support our logistics team with day-to-day operations, including shipment coordination, documentation, and supplier communication. The role involves handling UK and export orders, ensuring accurate paperwork, and supporting compliance within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process orders and manage shipment documentation for UK and export deliveries
Coordinate with freight forwarders, hauliers, suppliers, and internal teams
Track shipments and resolve any delivery or transport issues
Check invoices, transport costs, and supporting documentation for accuracy
Prepare and file commercial invoices, packing lists, and export paperwork
Manage transport claims, damages, and shortages, liaising with relevant parties
Maintain organised filing systems (digital and physical) ensuring compliance
Provide general admin support including answering calls, emails, and data entry
Key Skills & Experience
Essential:
Previous administration experience with exposure to logistics, transport, or supply chain
Some experience or understanding of order processing, exports, and claims handling
Strong attention to detail, particularly with documents and invoices
Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Good organisational skills and ability to manage workloadDesirable:
Experience within logistics, freight, or export environments
Knowledge of customs/export documentation or hazardous goods
