About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Production (Process) Engineer for our client who operate a continuous process in the manufacture of their product. A Blue Chip organisation the company has a reputation for developing their staff careers rather than employ from outside wherever possible.
The Process Engineer provides support to the Shift Managers and their teams. They will be the process expert onsite for the manufacturing lines to optimise the lines performance to support the vision of the site.
Identifies losses in the process, finds a sustainable solution and then trains and coaches all appropriate employees.
The Process Engineer drives improvements in safety, productivity and quality, while reducing costs and assuring environmental compliance. The process engineer uses their people leadership and engineering skills to drive plant performance using their continuous improvement experience to support the manufacturing of quality products.
Applicants for this role need to be flexible as the position may involve periods of travel outside of the UK.

Responsibilities:
Safety of plant operation, particularly when reviewing and implementing performance changes
Safety of other staff
Utilisation of the company TPM methodologies
Continuous Improvement; identifying through data collection and analysis, areas within the process to improve safety, quality and productivity.
Project leadership, leading and managing projects to achieve the above
Maintaining accurate records
Coaching and upskilling process knowledge and capabilities of Managers and their teams in line with loss elimination data.
Monitor data and conduct root cause analysis where required
Knowledge skills and Education:
Technically focused and inquisitive
Focused and driven person who sees projects through
Results oriented
Great communication skills across all departments
Able to influence hearts and minds when presenting new ideas
Confident but friendly and approachable
Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering subject with at least 2 years post graduate experience.
Project management experience
