This national building contractor who work on a variety of construction projects including predominantlyHealthcare, Education and Leisure. They are in the process of growing a regional team to meet the demands of the project. Typical projects around GBP10m : GBP30m in value.
The Job:
This exciting Assistant Quantity Surveyor is a great opportunity to prepare yourself for a Quantity Surveying position with great room for development and guidance from established professionals, working direclty under a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
* Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost implications.
* Assist in the valuation of work completed, managing payment applications, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.
* Support in the negotiation and settlement of variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any cost:related queries.
* Assist in contract administration tasks, including contract drafting, review, and management.
* Weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting through to the final account all under the supervision of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
