Location: Ashton-in-Makerfield
Pay Rate: £13 per hour
Shifts Available: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
Job Description
Provide support to a child with complex care needs during school days (Monday to Friday). When the child is not attending school, support will be delivered within the home environment.
Responsibilities
* Support and manage the child’s clinical needs including tracheostomy care, absence seizures, and tonic‑clonic seizures.
* Create a calm, safe and engaging environment within the home.
* Support the use of sensory equipment, such as sensory lights in the bedroom, to aid relaxation.
* Encourage engagement in preferred activities such as listening to a Toniebox.
* Promote inclusion in family life, including spending time in shared living spaces when family members are present, ensuring the child remains comfortable, supported and involved.
Qualifications
There is no requirement for prior social care experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, resilience, a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to work as part of a close‑knit team.
