Personal Development Worker
A great opportunity has arisen to be part of Lucy’s brand new team in Auchterarder.
Lucy is a 20-year-old who is described as caring and helpful. She loves animals, volunteers at a Wildlife Park, and enjoys activities like cycling, swimming, horse riding, Judo, and walking. She likes to keep busy and values having a mix of active days and calm times.
The role involves supporting Lucy to make friends, participate in community activities such as Karaoke, Bingo, dancing, arts and crafts, and engaging in new opportunities while respecting her need for low-demand activities. Reliability and consistency are important qualities for team members, who should also be able to have fun and motivate positively.
Family time is important to Lucy, and she lives at home with her siblings and family. Support should be planned around her needs, with an emphasis on positive, consistent engagement.
Training on Prader Willi Syndrome will be provided, and a driver’s license is essential. Team members should also promote her independent travel via public transport.
