Client company is a leading global logistic company who is hiring Sales Manager in England and Germany.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Account Manager to drive the sales of our oversized and heavy goods last-mile delivery services. This role is pivotal in expanding our client base within the UK or German market while managing key relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of the local logistics landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Target Ownership: Be responsible for achieving sales targets for oversized last-mile delivery services and new customer acquisition.
* New Business Development: Actively prospect, identify, and secure new clients in the target market to drive business growth.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying upsell opportunities.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the key liaison between clients, suppliers (carriers, customs agents, trucking fleets), and the internal operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Market Intelligence: Leverage deep knowledge of the local UK or German market to identify new trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the e-commerce logistics space.
* Problem Resolution: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by effectively handling service exceptions and unexpected events, ensuring minimal client impact.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher. 3+ years of sales experience within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
* Proven track record of successfully prospecting and acquiring new clients.
* In-depth familiarity with the UK or German logistics market and customer base.
* Strong understanding of cross-border e-commerce logistics; existing network of contacts with local overseas warehouses and direct clients is a significant advantage.
* Technical knowledge of local parcel delivery services and carriers (e.g., DHL, GEL, DPD, DSV, etc).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to execute and drive results.
* Fluency in English is required. For the German market, fluency in German is also essential.
