A Tier One Project Management and Engineering Consultancy requires a Project Engineer (Telecoms) to support ongoing Network Rail projects across the UK. This is a fully REMOTE position, which may require some site or office visits from time to time.
The initial contract duration will be 6 months, although it is highly likely to be extended. The offered rate is £375 per day (inside IR35).
This represents a great opportunity to secure a long-term, stable contract position.
You’ll be right for the position if you:
Hold a technical qualifications to HND or degree or equivalent level
Have experience in the management of outside and third-party activities and mitigation of risk
Engineering management and assurance of projects to NR standards: RSE/02009, CIV/003 Leading and managing teams of engineers and designers, following systematic project management processes
Be highly experienced in the Telecommunications discipline - have specific experience working in the vicinity of station buildings and platforms, and related to the design and installation of Rail industry products.
Other areas of responsibility:
Lead compliance with Network Rail engineering-driven safety requirements and provide technical advice, conditions and approvals consistent with Network Rail policies and standards on allocated schemes.
Manage the mitigation of engineering and safety risks to the railway associated with proposed and real-time outside and third-party activities.
Provide technical advice in respect of all engineering design, safe by design, technical specification and construction activities for safe delivery, including testing and commissioning and site supervision.
