Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)
Location: London / Hybrid (twice a month in office)
Salary: Up to £80,000 + benefits

The Opportunity
They are hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to take ownership of their React Native applications and help shape the future of mobile across the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:
* Own technical direction and architectural decisions for mobile
* Lead the build of a brand-new greenfield mobile app (iOS & Android)
* Raise engineering standards around performance, testing, and reliability
* Work closely with product, backend, and design teams to ship impactful features
* Mentor engineers and help grow a mobile team around you over time
You’ll be joining at a key moment, with a packed roadmap and a flagship product moving into MVP and customer rollout this year.
What You’ll Be Working On
* A modern React Native / TypeScript mobile application used by operational teams in the field
* Greenfield development for a new risk-management product
* Scalable, well-tested mobile architecture
* Real-time, data-driven tools used in mission-critical scenarios

* Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript
* Mobile: React Native, Expo
* State & Data: TanStack Query, Zustand
* Web: React, Next.js
* CI/CD: GitHub Actions
* Backend: Node.js, Java, Python
* Cloud: AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, EC2), Docker, Terraform
* Data: PostgreSQL
What They’re Looking For
Technical
* 4+ years’ experience building production-grade mobile applications
* Strong React Native and TypeScript experience
* Solid understanding of mobile performance, security, and best practices
* Experience writing automated tests and maintaining high code quality
* Comfortable working across the stack and collaborating with backend teams
