Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our professional accounting practice. The role focuses on the preparation and review of statutory accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, both SME' and medium sized. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent client-facing abilities, and experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Prepare management accounts and provide analysis to clients
* Liaise directly with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide accounting advice
* Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance, training, and mentoring
* Assist with workflow management to ensure deadlines are met
* Support the directors with technical queries and ad hoc projects
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value to client services
Skills and Experience Required
* ACA / ACCA part qualified (or qualified by experience)
* Minimum 7 years' experience working in an accountancy practice
* Strong experience in preparing statutory accounts
* Knowledge surrounding the personal and corporate tax implication generated from the accounts.
* Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations
* Experience using accounting software
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication and client relationship skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
* Audit experience would be advantageous, however not compulsory
Schedule
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (9am to 4:30pm on Friday). Office based
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
