More about the role: Collecting the residents laundry as per the rota in the morning and return to the resident the same day or informing residents of any outstanding laundry. Ensuringthat all clothes washed are dried correctly using the tumble dryer, ensuring that it is set at the correct temperature depending on the type of fabric. You will be responsible for ironing clothes and linen ensuring that that iron is set to the correct temperature and not left unattended Collecting and sorting soiled linen into the correct categories ensuring that soiled items are not washed with unsoiled items. Candidate Requirements - The ability to recognise that residents' rooms and belongings are personal and private - Have an awareness of Health and Safety and COSH regulations - Excellent time management skills - Good communication skills, both written and verbal. - Awareness of Manual Handling regulations. - The ability to demonstrate safe practices.
