Talent STEM, a UK based scientific, technical and engineering recruitment company is partnered with a leading organisation in the chemical processing sector who are looking to hire a QC Chemist to join their Quality Control team at their facility in Cheshire. This role suits a meticulous professional with a chemistry background, committed to upholding product quality in a regulated environment while prioritising laboratory safety and housekeeping standards. Key Responsibilities - Perform sampling and analytical testing of incoming materials, in-process streams, and outgoing products, ensuring adherence to chemical specifications. - Keep precise records of all testing activities and issue Certificates of Analysis for products. - Conduct daily checks and maintenance of laboratory equipment, such as balances and colourimeters, following calibration schedules. - Maintain laboratory compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures, ensuring proper PPE use, incident reporting, and high housekeeping standards. - Label, log, and analyse samples per company work instructions, reporting any issues to the QC Manager. - Assist with inventory management through weekly stock checks and laboratory supply orders. - Certify product dispatch notes, verifying quality approval against product specifications.
