Room Leader - Pembury (TN2) - Monday to Friday (40 hours - 8-6 with the same day off each week) - Level 3 - £11.50+ per hour!
Nursery Practitioner needed in Pembury (TN2) for a lovely nursery located just a 4-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.
This setting is a family-run / managed full-day care nursery for children from 3 months of age, providing high-quality childcare and early years education across 3 small nurseries in the area. Ofsted registered and following the EYFS statutory framework, it offers unique learning opportunities tailored to each child's needs, interests, and development.
The nursery caters for 48 children, providing a safe and secure environment for both children and staff, planning outings, and focusing on individual needs. As a staff member, you will play a key role in being a role model to 6 babies and providing support and leadership to the practitioners in the room.
Nursery experience is essential.
Hours & salary - 40 hours per week, 4 days a week (8-6), with the same day off each week.
Your main tasks and duties include:
Working flexibly as part of a larger team, assisting and supporting colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
Contributing to effective teamwork through communication, supporting management to maintain 'good' Ofsted ratings, and striving for 'outstanding'.
Providing a purposeful, stimulating environment rich in indoor and outdoor learning opportunities.
Supporting the development of other staff through effective communication, knowledge sharing, delegating, identifying training needs, leading meetings, inductions, and 1:1s, with support from the nursery manager.
Respecting and valuing colleagues, children, and parents, fostering a positive and diverse working environment.
Collaborating effectively with the manager, taking on additional responsibilities, and promoting policy and procedural developments.
Candidate requirements:
Level 3+ in Childcare
