Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in line with established recipes and standards
* Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas
* Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking tasks under supervision
* Ensure food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed at all times
* Serve meals to customers or staff efficiently and courteously
* Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
* Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the kitchen during busy periods
* Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
* Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments & enthusiasm to learn is essential
* Knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and basic cooking techniques
* Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced setting
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail
* Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
* A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
