Job Description:
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be skilled in framing problems, setting priorities for delivery teams, and ensuring quality products are delivered for customers. You will work closely with senior stakeholders at project and programme level, influence product development, and collaborate with agile delivery teams including delivery managers, user researchers, service designers, and technical leads to define and prioritize a product roadmap and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
You should have strong commercial awareness, experience supporting sales activities, knowledge of best practices in product development, and the ability to mentor and upskill team members, including early-career consultants. Experience with Civil Service projects and GDS principles is advantageous.
Qualifications:
* Agile working: Expertise in Agile and Lean practices, coaching and leading teams through project lifecycle stages, and innovating workflows to improve outcomes within legislative or commercial constraints.
* Product ownership: Ability to create and manage end-to-end product roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and secure organizational buy-in for successful delivery. Experience in user-centered design and promoting best practices across teams.
* Financial ownership: Accountable for realizing project benefits, securing funding, managing scope within budget and deadlines, and understanding system integration and benefits realization.
* Stakeholder and problem management: Skilled in stakeholder identification, tailored communication, relationship building, and evidence-based consensus building.
* Operational management: Knowledge of efficient operations, acting as escalation point, and working closely with operational leaders.
