Role: Sales Director
Salary: £80,000 + bonus + car allowance
Location: Hybrid with travel
A rapidly expanding engineering/manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Sales Director to lead national sales activity and drive strategic commercial growth. The organisation has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, high-specification solutions to major private and public-sector clients across the UK.
The Role
You will shape and execute the national sales strategy, manage key accounts, and build long-term partnerships with customers across a range of sectors. You’ll lead a small sales team while retaining direct ownership of high-value opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver the company’s UK sales strategy.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities across multiple industries.
* Maintain and expand relationships with major national clients.
* Work closely with internal engineering, operations and commercial teams on proposals and tenders.
* Report on sales performance, forecasting, pipelines, and market activity.
* Represent the business at meetings, customer sites and relevant industry events.
About You
* Proven experience in a Sales Director or senior business development role.
* Background in manufacturing, engineering, technical products, or solution-based sales.
* Strong relationship builder comfortable working with both private and public-sector customers.
* Strategic thinker with a hands-on, proactive sales approach.
* Must live within approximately 1 hour of the office and be able to travel across the UK as required.
