FP&A Manager | Warrington | £65-70k + bonus | Hybrid (1-2 days in office)
Forge Talent is partnering with a listed group subsidiary in Warrington to hire an FP&A Manager. This is a key role in a complex, low‑margin environment where every penny counts and FP&A has a direct impact on performance.
You will support the Director of FP&A, own the P&L from an FP&A perspective, and provide the analysis and insight that underpins better decisions across the business.
Responsibilities:
• P&L ownership and performance
* Lead detailed analysis of the P&L, explaining performance drivers, variances, risks and opportunities
* Partner with Commercial Finance and operations to challenge performance and support delivery of financial targets
* Produce monthly P&L packs with clear, insightful commentary aligned to Group standards
• Planning, budgeting and forecasting
* Support delivery of the annual budget and periodic reforecasts, focused on P&L accuracy and rigour
* Coordinate inputs from functional and commercial teams, ensuring assumptions are robust and well supported
* Own short and medium term P&L forecasting cycles and track forecast accuracy
• Performance analysis and decision support
* Deliver detailed variance analysis vs budget, forecast and prior year
* Identify trends, risks and opportunities and turn these into clear, actionable recommendations
* Run ad hoc deep dives on cost drivers and revenue trends
* Build and maintain P&L models for scenario analysis, business planning and commercial decisions
• Management reporting and stakeholder support
* Produce high quality monthly management reporting for senior leadership and Group FP&A
* Support preparation of presentations, dashboards and performance insights for senior stakeholders
• Process, systems and team
* Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting and systems
* Support automation and standardisation to improve efficiency and data reliability
* Work closely with a junior analyst, providing guidance on cost centre reporting and analysis
* Collaborate with Accounting, Commercial Finance and Operations to ensure strong information flow and aligned processes
Requirements / Desirables:
• Fully qualified accountant: ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
• Proven FP&A experience in a complex, fast paced organisation
• Strong P&L expertise: revenue drivers, margin analysis, cost management, performance metrics
• Advanced analytical skills and financial modelling capability, including strong Excel
• Commercial mindset: able to link financials to operational and commercial activity
• Clear communicator, confident explaining financials to non finance stakeholders
• Collaborative style with the ability to build relationships across functions
• Adaptable, comfortable with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
• High integrity and commitment to accuracy
