The 111 service fields a diverse range of calls, meaning that no two calls are ever the same. We are looking for dependable, compassionate, and enthusiastic Clinical Advisors to join our motivated, friendly, and hardworking clinical team. Your role will involve calling patients to assess their symptoms clinically while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including Health Advisors, Nurses, Paramedics, Mental Health Practitioners, Pharmacists, and others, to ensure each patient receives the right care, in the right place, the first time.
Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with a minimum of 24 hours per week.
Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 2nd June 2025.
Main duties of the job
Working with NHS 111 is a demanding but highly rewarding career where you'll make a real difference to patients daily.
Calls will be directed to you when patients require clinical advice. Using your triage experience and our NHS Pathways software, you'll ensure patients receive the most suitable treatment tailored to their needs. This can range from self-care advice to referring patients to other services.
You should be a good communicator with an excellent telephone manner. Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new skills are essential. You must be passionate about high-quality patient care, caring, and able to remain calm under pressure.
Training:
You must commit to a full-time, 10-week training program with 100% attendance. During this period, you will undergo classroom training, call listening, coaching in the call centre, and learning clinical pathways. The training will be fully paid.

Corporate Induction
We prioritize a positive onboarding experience to foster a sense of belonging from the start. Your Corporate Induction will be scheduled promptly, depending on availability, and held in person over one and a half days at our educational centres in Newbury, Bicester, or Whiteley. Further details will be provided once your start date is confirmed. Additional training may follow based on your role.
