Teaching Assistant - York

Are you passionate about supporting young people in the classroom? We're seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join secondary schools across York and the surrounding areas as a Teaching Assistant.
Whether you have experience in education, childcare, mentoring, tutoring, or youth work, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students' learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping teachers deliver lessons, supporting individual student needs, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
* Provide in-class support to enhance student learning and engagement
* Assist with lesson preparation, activities, and classroom organisation
* Work one-to-one or with small groups to meet specific learning needs
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage student participation
* Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere

* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude
* Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

* Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
