The Role & Key Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to work within the Strategic Insights Team, part of the Corporate Development Department in Sussex.
This team brings together research, data analytics and operational policing to support the organisation in delivering effective and efficient services across all business areas in line with our priorities. Our mix of skills, combined with close collaboration with Chief Officers, ensures our insights and ideas for change are targeted at areas that will improve performance and public service.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of a project/s on behalf of the Programme Manager. You will ensure time, cost and resources are effectively managed throughout the life of the project. You will manage the project, including agreeing and monitoring key deliverables and milestones, identifying and managing issues and risks and reporting progress to stakeholders as required.
Skills & Experience
Ideally you should be Degree qualified, or equivalent by experience, or able to demonstrate proven work experience in Project Management, with evidence of delivering a project from start to completion.
You should be organised, good at planning and prioritising activity, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and motivated to help drive change across the Force.
This is an excellent opportunity to build on your project management skills and work on organisational change as part of a broader team of officers and staff. You will be expected to work at least 40% of your time as office based alongside the Strategic Insights Team.
