Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Restaurant and Events Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and assisting in the smooth delivery of private and public events. The ideal candidate will bring strong hospitality experience, a proactive attitude, and a passion for delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant floor and bar.
* Assist in planning, setting up, and delivering events (e.g. weddings, private parties, corporate functions).
* Supervise front-of-house staff, ensuring high levels of customer service.
* Act as the point of contact during shifts for staff and guests.
* Support the management team with staff training and development.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
* Help manage stock levels for food, drink, and event supplies.
* Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
* Open and close the venue as required, including cashing up and setting up. (Being a Keyholder).
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar hospitality supervisory role (restaurant, bar, or events).
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
* Flexible and reliable – must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
* A positive attitude and commitment to excellent service.
* Basic knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene procedures.
* Coffee Machine Knowledge (Training will be provided)
* Cellar knowledge (Preferred)
* Bar Knowledge
* Good knowledge of IT for updating menus, responding to emails, taking booking notes (Training will be provided)
