Join Our Team as a Band 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you want to explore working in a different service area and 'give it a try'? Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives and supporting them to live meaningfully in the community? If you value working as part of a multidisciplinary team where psychologists are highly valued, and enjoy a blend of individual and systemic working, we want to hear from you.
We are offering a 12-month secondment for a Band 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist. This role is fully funded, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent position. We welcome applications from specialties within and outside of the learning disability field. As a psychologist, you will bring transferable skills such as psychological formulation, trauma-informed care, and systemic working, which are relevant to our team.
Our community-based team provides intensive assessments and interventions during the core working week to individuals at risk of hospital admission, aiming to prevent unnecessary admissions and support discharge transitions. We work closely with individuals, families, carers, local learning disability teams, care providers, inpatient services, and social care.
You will join an existing team of psychologists in a setting that values multidisciplinary collaboration. You will receive regular, high-quality clinical and management supervision, along with opportunities for professional development.
